Maoriland film festival 2021

On the 25th of march the year 7, 8, and 9's of Otaki college left the college at 09:00 and walked down to the library for the Maorifilm Festival. This year the festival wasn't all that good like the Films there were kinda bad, most of them I didn't understand others where you couldn't understand what the people were saying because they were speaking Maori and Indian (I think it was Indian IDK really). The reason it was hard to understand them was because even though I have Maori blood I can't understand it. But it still wasn't as good as the 2019 Maorifilm Festival which by far was the best one I've seen so far. And I'm not saying the people that made the films did a bad job, I'm just saying I didn't really like them personaly and no one should take offence towards my opinion like I'm not saying you can't enjoy them because if you like them then you like them and if you don't well you just don't. So thats my opinion and 3/10 rating.

Reflection 2.0, because the last one wasn't good enough and also it wasn't a reflection

 My brother really annoys me. When I'm playing video games online with people he comes up to me and yells inapropriate stuff into my mic so the people I'm playing with can hear him. And this is when he has just came home from a bike ride with his friend so his friend is there too. So really all my brother is, is a big fat show off, like "look at me I can Yell profanities in to my brothers mic and annoy him because 'he does it to me'". Which I don't well I do but it's only because he does it to me and thats only half of the story there is alot more from where that came from.

Reflection

What am I good at in school? I'm very good at Japanese, Maths, and CTG (Creative Technology).

Why am I good at these subjects? Honestly I have no idea why I'm good at Japanese, Maths, and CTG, like I woke up on dad and said 'Imma be good at Japanese, Maths, and CTG because I feel like it'. It's strange as well because I hate P.E like maybe it's because I have asthma (kinda funny how you spell it like asthma but say asma like imagine saying 'As-Th-Ma' or something like that) or something IDK I just hate P.E like the subject is boring. But yeah also the schools Japanese teacher says that Japanese is really easy too so I wonder why I'm so good at it.

And now that I've said this you would think that I'm a little fat potato (potato more like Pot-Eight-Oh) but "NO" I'm not im a cool kid that can sit on video games all day because I won't get fat, and yes I do go outside as a matter or fact I go for bike rides because they're fun and I ride my bike two times a day at the least about 5 minutes each too. So yeah Kinda went off the rails with this piece of writing but I also bet I got like 200 words maybe. Also I have to make new labels because It's not 2020 anymore.

 

DHT Curious Cove Challenges

Curious cove camp

 On Wednesday the fourth of November at Curious cove, I was in a group and we did rotations of three groups and three activities. The three activities were: games in the rec hall, fishing off the wharf, and kayaking. When my group went and did kayaking we did races, I came about second place in all of them.

After a couple of races(like one race) we did a raft up. A raft up is when a group of kayakers or people in boats. They all then line their boats up in the water and swap boats. Me and Isaac swapped kayaks in the water. When we swapped kayaks I ran across the tops of everyone's kayaks to get to Isaac’s kayak. When he went to go to my kayak which was on the other side of the raft, he then attempted to crawl to it and it was funny when he almost fell off the kayaks.

When everyone left the raft up I wanted to change kayaks again because it was fun the first time and Kaylis also wanted to try changing kayaks so we tried to change kayaks without a raft up. Long story short I jumped on to his kayak and mine drifted away in the water and I was left grasping onto Kaylis’s kayak and I almost sunk it. Luckily Tara in my class looked after my kayak while an adult(I think it was Kaylis’s dad) got me in his kayak and took me to mine. 

After that we did some more races and then put the kayaks away. Me and Kaylis were laughing like mad men because of the whole James Bond mixed with Mission Impossible thing I did. So morle of this story don’t try to change kayaks when you aren’t in a raft up.

Liars Dice board game

On the 16th of November our class DHT started making board games, well they actually started off as a normal game then a math game then finally a board game. Yeah it's confusing and it was annoying. So me and my friend Lee decided to make a game from a video game/NIRL that that NIRL game got from IRL so yeah. It is called Liars dice but in NIRL game I recall it being called bluff(I think but it's been ages since I've acctually played it). 

So it the things you need to play it is a bit much because 5 dice per played. So if you can guess we made it a two player game because our teacher wouldn't give us any more than that. I won't get to into detail about the game or the instructions because they are like long and confusing so I'll give you a couple links so you can check the sites out yourselves.

These aren't really needed because you would know if someone hasn't done it. 

Everyone does pretty much the same learning time.

It's kind of explainable below 5 is almost always "I didn't do any work." and above 5 is always a "I've done lots of work." and lastly you have put 'what is your goal for next week? With a What is something you think you may need to improve on next week?' Its like the same.
